Why Communities Still Need Revival
Every generation believes it has outgrown the need to gather. And every generation discovers, often at great cost, that it has not.
Revival, at its heart, is not spectacle. It is a community choosing to remember who it is—its values, its neighbors, and its shared responsibility to one another. When we gather with intention, something shifts. Isolation gives way to belonging. Cynicism gives way to hope.
Over the years I have watched towns rediscover themselves in a single season of renewed attention to each other. The mechanics are simple: show up, listen well, and serve relentlessly. The results are anything but.
If your community feels frayed, the answer is rarely a new program. It is a renewed people. That is the work I have given my life to—and it is work that belongs to all of us.
